Design Coordinator / CAD Drafter
This is an "in office" position.
Arizona Building Contractors is seeking a Design Coordinator to play a pivotal role on our growing team.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with prospective and current clients.
- Lead sales presentations and provide detailed information about our services and products.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and objectives.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their design preferences and requirements.
- Assist clients in selecting materials, finishes, and fixtures for their projects.
- Provide guidance on options that best meet the clients' needs, preferences, and budget.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely availability of selected items.
- Utilize CAD software to create and modify interior and/or exterior drawings and 3D renderings based on client selections.
- Present design concepts and layouts to clients for approval.
- Ensure designs are accurate and meet all relevant building codes and standards.
- Develop detailed budgets based on takeoffs, client selections, and project requirements.
- Provide accurate cost estimates and work with clients to stay within budget.
- Adjust budgets and estimates as needed throughout the project.
- Work closely with the project manager to ensure that designs are accurately implemented on-site.
- Conduct site visits to verify that selections and designs are being executed as planned.
- Address any issues or discrepancies that arise during the implementation process.
- Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the project to ensure satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the project management team to ensure client selections are integrated into the project plan.
- Working with the office manager, maintain organized records of client interactions, selections, and design plans using our project management software.
- Prepare and deliver quotes, contracts, and other necessary documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of marketing materials and participate in promotional events as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Office environment with occasional visits to client sites.
- Ability to lift, walk and stand for long periods or sit at a desk as needed, (up to 10 hours per day)
- The ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- The ability to stoop, crawl, kneel, bend at the neck and waist, twist at the neck and waist Be able to climb stairs and ladders
- Able to grasp and use fine manipulation
- Able to reach above shoulder height
- The ability to work outdoors in extreme heat and cold
- Able to walk on uneven terrain, in dusty and dirty conditions
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably within the construction or home improvement industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Drafting, 20/20, Revit, or similar). Experience with Chief Architect is a plus.
- Experience with CRM and project management software.
- Basic knowledge of interior design principles is a plus.
- Experience in preparing quantity takeoffs, budgeting, and cost estimating is required.
- Strong understanding of building codes and regulations.
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and design.
- Ability to visualize and communicate design concepts effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Customer-focused with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary and Benefits:
- Full Time
- $45,000 - $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience
