Job Title:Dermatology Medical Coder

Location:Waxahachie, TX (75165)Hybrid (3 days on site, 2 remote)

Pay: Based on Experience

Hours:Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM

Responsibilities:

• The coder will review and analyze claims submitted to payers to ensure their accuracy, completeness and compliance with ICD 10 and CPT guidelines and MUE and NCCE edits

• The coder will identify errors, discrepancies, or missing information within the claims documentation, working closely with the revenue cycle staff to correct any issues and improve overall claims processing efficiency

• The person hired will be expected to stay current on CPT and ICD 10 professional coding updates and guidelines, and implement necessary adjustments to the claim scrubbing process

• Effective communication skills and a proactive approach are essential in this role to facilitate collaboration with other revenue cycle staff and uphold the highest standards of quality assurance in the claims processing workflow

Requirements:

• REQUIRED: Minimum of two (2) years experience working for dermatology practices

• CPC and/or CPC-A certification

• Working knowledge of an EMR system, preferably EMA

• Understanding of EOBs and MSNs

• Hybrid candidates must live in or around the Dallas/Ft Worth area
