Team Chief -- Social Security Administration Program
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Learn and assume responsibility for day-to-day contract operations for areas including hiring and training personnel, monitoring production, timesheets, leave management, and customer invoices
* Commands all aspects of the case preparation process, to include direct responsibility for meeting and monitoring production goals, and execution of the operational production plan
* Generate all end of month billing invoices to provide to Company's finance team
* Generates operational reports to monitor case intake and case deliveries of the program
* Provides data for weekly and monthly reports and compiles monthly statistics on noteworthy events
* Responsible for allocating workload to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of all required background investigative and administrative services
* Will assist Program Manager in all recruiting meetings and coordinate with HR for recruitment and processing of new team members
* Act as a Subject Matter Expert for all areas of the case review process, to include both the Pre-Field Document Review, and the Post-Field Adjudicative analysis
* Process all second-level reviews of adjudications that require a No Determination Made, or Unsuitable recommendation, as well as performing Quality Assurance reviews on a random selection of delivered adjudication cases
* Maintain regular communications with team members to promote consistency
* Ability to assist in all phases of operations, to include offering surge support in times of high customer volume
* Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* Knowledge of and experience with OPM Clearance Verification System (CVS), Defense Information System for Security (DISS), Electronic Questionnaire for Investigations Processing (e-QIP), Personnel Investigations Processing Systems (PIPS) and related databases preferred
* Must have thorough knowledge of all aspects of the case preparation process
* Supervisory or equivalent leadership experience preferred
* High oral communication skills including the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the employer's and/or customer's organization
* High reasoning skills, including ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in oral, written, diagram, or schedule form
* High language skills, including ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to present information in an effective manner to senior management
* High computer skills and ability to work in a MS Windows based operating environment, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Internet and E-mail
* Must be U.S. citizen and able to successfully undergo background investigation to obtain U.S. Government security clearance.

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are Monday through Friday from 9 am to 6 pm, however, some extended or weekend hours may be required. The position does not require regular travel.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
