About the Job
The Technical Operations Depot Manager is responsible for oversight and management of the Depot / Configuration Center. This includes personnel, logistical operations, and ensuring orders are received, processed, and delivered on schedule.
We are looking for an analytical, detail-oriented leader with excellent management and organizational skills who can manage autonomously in a fast-paced environment with ever-changing priorities.
This is an on-site position in Linthicum MD. Work hours are 7:30a -4:30p. Our benefits include medical, dental & vision insurance; 401k with company match and PTO.
This position will have responsibilities that include working with government contractors, therefore, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for making tactical decisions that align with the department, site, and corporation’s productivity and output objectives.
- Manage the flow of products into and out of the computer configuration center.
- Managing the installation and configuration of various engineering software applications, and diagnosing and resolving PC hardware issues down to the component level.
- Develop and implement logistical plans and procedures to ensure and improve compliance with customer needs.
- Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operations of the center’s functions and productivity.
- Provide direction to employees according to established company policies & procedures.
- Manage employees, and their schedules to ensure customer deadlines are met; Manage employee time and attendance details.
- Interact with peers, executives, and customers to optimize systems and procedures.
- Compile reports and analyze data to optimize workflow.
- Analyze workflow processes and implement changes to increase efficiencies and productivity output.
- Work with the warehouse team to determine appropriate supply levels to match highly variable workloads.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to production schedules; Raise issues to appropriate channels for resolution.
- Advise management of status, schedule, priorities, and concerns.
- Ensure a healthy and safe working environment by effectively communicating safety rules and regulations, consistently monitoring compliance, and conducting ongoing safety training.
- This position will have responsibilities that include working with government contractors, therefore, U.S. citizenship is required.
- Strong background in installing Software and repairing computer hardware.
- Extensive management experience in logistical operations.
- Proven leadership ability and an understanding of team fundamentals to effectively lead and develop others.
- Experience in cultivating, training, and establishing performance goals for staff.
- Ability to pull together many sources of information to prioritize and lead operations.
- Highly motivated self-starter who can meet assigned deadlines and balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Solid communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to react quickly to new information, opinions, and direction.
- Proficient in MS Office and advanced in Excel.
- Experience in the IT industry is a plus.
