JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for supporting Commercial Operations in shaping Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings' (NCLH) strategic ship deployment plans. Must research trending destinations, evaluate opportunities for expansion to new destinations, monitor performance of existing itineraries to identify underperforming routes, produce and present ad hoc analyses to drive incremental revenue, collect and maintain competitive data, and participate in new deployment processes.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct detailed analyses of historical data to contribute to the recommendation of optimal deployment plans aimed at maximizing ticket and onboard revenue, providing necessary support to the Senior Manager.
- Audit consumer-facing itinerary content, such as text, visual materials, and press releases, to ensure factual accuracy and alignment with the overall deployment strategy.
- Assist in the continuous evaluation of industry trends and market conditions to inform adjustments in deployment strategy, working closely with the Senior Manager to capitalize on emerging revenue growth opportunities.
- Leverage data-driven analysis, market research, performance metrics, and industry trends to optimize deployment plans, capitalize on market opportunities, and meet revenue targets.
- Ensure itineraries are properly named and categorized.
- Provide support for the maintenance of a detailed voyage-level budget and forecast for net ticket revenue.
- Maintain Itinerary Product Card rankings on ncl.com to align with Revenue Management needs.
- Develop educational content for new deployment initiatives.
- Produce ad hoc analyses to guide Deployment Strategy and Commercial Planning decisions, focusing on increasing net ticket revenue.
- Create clear and engaging visualizations and presentations to support deployment-related decision-making processes.
- Work with other departments including Itinerary Planning, Sales, Marketing, Onboard, Destination Services, Passenger Services, and various international offices to further develop deployment strategy.
- Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree
FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Business Administration, Finance or related field
EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years of work experience in analyses.
- Experience with querying and working with large amounts of data is preferred.
- Experience in the cruise industry is preferred, but not required.
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:
- Analytical, data-driven, and detail-oriented mindset is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau and other analytical tools.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Effective communication skills for conveying complex analyses to diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of the cruise industry and market trends is a plus.
