Department Support Assistant, Infusion Center - Trinity Health System

JOB SUMMARY:

The Department Support Assistant is responsible for performing clerical duties, maintaining supplies/equipment, and facilitating communication and workflow in the department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

1. High school graduate or equivalent

2. Successful completion of a unit secretary course preferred

3. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred

Experience:

1. Knowledge of or experience in healthcare

2. Unit Secretary experience preferred

3. Computer/typing skills preferred

Equipment/Skills:

• Use of general patient care and communication equipment including all patient equipment and scales; computer; copier; fax; phone; printers; beepers. Effective organizational skills and written/verbal communication skills including pleasant phone manners, and good patient care techniques.
