PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provides comprehensive and appropriate dental care and treatment to individuals and families of Molokai with respect and aloha. The Dentist is responsible for recommending and implementing dental policies and procedures, oral health education to patients; ensuring continuous quality improvement in dental care. Dentist will provide supervision to Dental Hygienist(s) as assigned.
Seeking a mission-focused full-time DDS or DMD General Dentist with pediatric experience. Must possess a current DT (Dentist) or CSDT (Community Service Dentist) License to practice in the State of Hawaii; current DEA and CSR certification; NPI Registered. At least one year of dentistry practice experience beyond dental school desired. Previous community service clinic experience preferred. Clinical Dental supervision a plus. Experience in Dentrix also a plus.
Molokai Ohana Health Care, Inc., dba Molokai Community Health Center (MCHC) is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center that was started in 2002 by community volunteers and residents of Molokai with a commitment to provide the best medical care based on individual health needs. MCHC's services include Primary Medical, Dental, Lifestyle Health and Wellness that includes Behavioral Health, and WIC. MCHC currently provides services to over 2,300 individuals on an island population of about 7,000 residents, of which 45% are individuals and families whose incomes are below 200% of the federal poverty guideline. For 20 years, MCHC has served as a vital access point for affordable primary medical, dental, and behavioral health care for the uninsured and underinsured populations on Molokai.
