Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive patient care including preventative care, diagnosis, dental treatments, and oral health education.
- Conduct regular oral examinations to identify diseases or oral health issues and develop effective treatment plans.
- Perform routine dental procedures such as cleanings, root canals, extractions, and fillings.
- Prescribe medication as necessary in accordance with company policy and regulations.
- Maintain patient dental records and document all services and treatments provided.
- Collaborate with dental assistants and other team members for patient care.
- Participate in financial planning and budgeting for the dental department.
- Provide financial advice and guidance on dental costs and insurance matters.
- Assist in the development of financial strategies to improve the efficiency and profitability of the dental department.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, advancements in dental technology, and financial regulations to ensure the highest level of service is provided.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from an accredited program.
- Current license to practice dentistry in the state.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dental practice.
- Demonstrated experience in financial management or a related field.
- Proficiency in dental software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of dental procedures and diagnostics with the ability to explain them to patients.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude.
- High level of professionalism and adherence to company policies and regulations.
- Ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
- Knowledge of insurance processes and dental billing is a plus.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and learning in both dentistry and finance.
