Hours of Performance:Monday to Friday, 0600-1700 (40 hours per week)
Responsibilities:
- Perform duties similar to those required of a government civil service Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA).
- Assist in complex restorative, prosthodontic, oral surgical, endodontic, or periodontal treatment.
- Perform chairside dental assisting, radiology, sterilization, and other additional services as required.
- Occasionally assist with patient scheduling or records review.
- Instruct patients in preventive dental care measures and apply prescribed medications.
- Operate dental x-ray equipment and maintain recurring reports related to dental activities.
- Aid in the training of trainee dental assistants and/or dental assistant students.
Requirements:
- Graduation from a formal dental assistant program.
- Experience in dental assisting with proficiency in expanded functions.
- Certification in radiology and knowledge of dental x-ray equipment operation.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

- Certificate of Training in dental therapy training or expanded function dental assisting.
- Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience.
