Job Summary: Our client is seeking a dental hygienist to join their team in Rutland, Vermont. Under the direction of the dentist, this position promotes dental health by completing dental prophylaxis; providing oral cancer screening and radiographic studies; charting conditions of decay and disease; performing procedures in compliance with the dental practice act.
Job Responsibilities: Provide patient screening to assess oral health conditions, review of health history, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection. Record information on dental chart. Take vital signs and record on chart. Take and develop dental radiographs Remove calculus and plaque from all surfaces of the teeth. Apply sealants and fluoride treatments. Instruct patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health.
Qualifications: Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene. Licensed by the Vermont Board of Dentistry or eligible to obtain Must be able to perform complex dental procedures.
