Position Overview:
We are seeking a licensed and experienced Dental Hygienist to join our patient-centered practice in Beaufort, SC. This position is ideal for a dedicated professional who is passionate about preventive dental care, patient education, and fostering long-term relationships with patients. Responsibilities:

• Patient Care & Education: Perform comprehensive dental hygiene assessments and cleanings, including scaling, root planing, polishing, and fluoride treatments, with a focus on individualized care and preventive strategies.
• Diagnostics: Take, develop, and interpret dental radiographs (X-rays) to assist in patient diagnostics and treatment planning.
• Patient Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with patients, creating a comfortable and trusting environment to promote optimal oral health outcomes.
• Treatment Planning Support: Work collaboratively with the dentist to assist in patient examinations, charting, and creating tailored treatment plans.
• Infection Control & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to sterilization and infection control protocols to provide a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Record Maintenance: Accurately document patient health history, treatment progress, and updates within electronic medical records.

Qualifications:

• Licensure & Certification: Must hold a current South Carolina state license as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) and be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR.
• Skills & Knowledge: Proficient knowledge of dental hygiene principles, sterilization techniques, and experience with dental software is preferred.
• Professional Traits: Detail-oriented, empathetic, and patient-focused, with strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
• Experience: Previous experience in a clinical or general dentistry setting is preferred but not required.
