Overview:
The Front desk staff duties include coordinating appointments for patients, explaining and collecting insurance benefits and patient payments, maintain good communication with referring offices and patients.
Responsibilities:MN Periodontal Associates is seeking a full-time front desk staff/insurance coordinator to help provide quality care to our patients. Building relationships with our patients is very important to us. We provide dental surgeries, including dental implants and extractions, daily. Hours are 8-5 Mondays-Thursday and 8-1 on Fridays. NO weekends or night hours! Only ONE location!
Candidates must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, outgoing and friendly. Candidates must also demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a team-member while providing quality care to our patients.
**Previous dental experience required**
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Liaise with insurance providers to elucidate patients' coverage and to resolve disputes about rejected claims
- Prioritizes and processes incoming Insurance Verifications, Referrals, and Prior Authorization requests
- Verifies member/patient eligibility
- Ensures insurance carrier documentation requirements are met
- Understands and can explain dental and medical insurance plan benefits.
- Oversee processing of dental claims and manage EFT payments
- Plan, coordinate, and implement dental care for patients based on individual requirements
- Explain treatment plans and payment plans to patients
- Effectively communicate with others, including physician offices, insurance companies, patients, and others about insurance benefits and costs associated to procedures.
- Handles multiple assignments or pieces of work at one time. The capability of working within a stressful environment under consistent deadlines, pressures and interruptions.

EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of dental/medical benefits and breakdowns a plus
Proficient computer skills
