We are seeking a new Dental Assistant to join our team. Your role will be to assist Dr. Lawson in general and specialty dentistry including: extractions, bone grafts and implant placement, reconstructive and cosmetic dentistry, clear aligners and airway and sleep treatment for kids and adults. The most frequent populations we treat are airway and pain/TMD patients. This position will involve consultations for those appliances, and educating the patient on the order of events, as well as coordinating care with other healthcare providers. This position does a lot of intraoral and extraoral scanning, as well as photography and data entry into dental and laboratory portals.
What You Will Do:
- Prepare medical instruments or equipment for use.
- Assist practitioners to perform medical procedures.
- Maintain medical records.
- Inventory medical supplies or equipment.
- Manage multiple projects at varying stages.
Team members in our office are cross trained to clinical tasks and administrative/front desk. All team members are trained to take new patient phone calls, identifying expectations for the first visit, scheduling appointments, as well as to treatment plan and help make financial arrangements..
As a member of the clinical department, you will work with another assistant, a hygienist and our treatment coordinator, Beth and report to Dr. Lawson.
What You Will Bring:
Our ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant experience and the following credentials/skills:
- High School or GED
- Chairside Assisting
- Registered Dental Hygienist
- iTero Scanning
- Nitrous Oxide Certified
- X-Ray Certified
