Dental Assistant - KidSmile Dental

KidSmile is searching for a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with our dentists and dental hygienists to provide quality dental care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting with dental procedures, taking and developing X-rays, sterilizing dental instruments, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene.

We are looking for someone who is professional, detail-oriented, and has excellent interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate should have prior dental assistant experience or have recently completed a Dental Assisting program.

You will be responsible for the following:

• Greet and engage patients with respect and a smile.
• Ensure patients are well informed and comfortable - before, during, and after their appointment - about their treatment and oral health.
• Take and process dental radiographs, impressions and intraoral photos.
• Prepares and sterilizes treatment room and equipment.
• Provide chair-side assistance to Providers during treatment procedures.
• Document dental care services by charting in patients’ records.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and patient-centric working environment.

You will be required to possess the following:

• Prior dental assistant experience or completion of a Dental Assisting program
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Detail-oriented and able to multi-task
• Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and terminology
• Ability to educate patients on oral hygiene practices

Pay Range: $18 - $22 per hour
