Looking for a Dental Assistant full-time Monday - Friday 8-5 offering great benefits.
JOB SUMMARY: Assists in increasing the efficiency of our dentists’ and team in delivering quality oral health care. Assists the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures and other chair side duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- · Maintains a clean, sterile, and positive environment optimizing patient comfort and safety
- · Greets patients in the waiting area and escorts patients to their operatory
- · Reviews and records medical/dental history and vital signs
- · Assures completion of consent forms and signatures
- · Assists the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, which include but are not limited to, fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions, root canals, partials & dentures, limited and complete exams, prophys, taking and pouring impressions, and other chair side duties.
- · Accurately charts existing treatment, completed treatment, and treatment plans
- · Takes proficient and accurate digital radiographs
- · Ensures dental units are ready and stocked at all times
- · Cleans, sterilizes, and assembles instruments, treatment rooms, dental units, supplies, and equipment according to Morton and other regulatory guidelines
- · Delivers verbal and written post-op instructions as prescribed by dentist
- · Accurately schedules and quotes prices for upcoming visits
- · Travels to satellite facilities to assist and complete dental tasks as needed
- · Communicates with manager if maintenance or supplies are needed
- · Maintains a friendly and productive working relationship with all members of the dental team
- · Maintains confidentiality of information according to HIPAA regulations
- · Works in accordance with Morton Comprehensive Health’s employee handbook
- · Self- Starter
- · Work independently without direct supervision
- Other duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
· Current Oklahoma Dental Assisting Permit
· 2 years Dental Assistant experience preferred
· Current BLS certificate required
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Coronal Polishing, Nitrous, Sealant, and X-Ray certifications, or the ability to obtain the certifications within a reasonable amount of time required
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
· Ability to work with patients and staff professionally and tactfully
· Ability to work independently as well as with a professional team

· WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work is performed in a clinic environment
· Must be able to lift a minimum of 15 pounds
· Must be able to sit, and stand for extended periods of time.
· Possess the ability to bend, lift, and climb stairs.
- Work may involve some exposures to operating circumstances that require following standard or prescribed safety precautions.
