Position Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our pediatric dental team. The ideal candidate must be dependable and have a genuine passion for working with children and their families. This role is vital in creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe and comfortable during their dental visits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Build rapport with young patients and their families to foster a positive dental experience.
- Educate parents and children about oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Utilize behavior modification techniques to help manage children's anxiety and ensure cooperative behavior during procedures.
- General Patient Charting and Documentation
- Maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
- Valid Dental Assistant (DA) Course certification.
- CPR Certification
- Infection Control Certification
- Radiology X-ray Certification
- Coronal Polish Certification
- Experience in a pediatric dental setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine love for working with children.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents.
- A proactive advocate for oral health education and preventive care
