About the Job
This is an adjunct faculty pool for teaching in the Allied Health Occupations department. The pool will remain open until June 2024 unless positions are no longer needed. Applications will be reviewed and candidates will be contacted and interviewed as positions become available.
Responsible for instructing assigned Dental Assistant courses. Potential courses include: Dental and Medical Emergency Management, Infection Control, Dental Materials or Dental Assistant I and II - Lab. Provides direct supervision and assessment of progress of dental assisting students in a classroom or laboratory classroom setting, each with an online component. Participate in program faculty meetings. Maintain college standards regarding professionalism, record keeping and instruction within the Allied Health department faculty team of the Dental Assistant program.
Supervision Received
The dean is responsible for carrying out the evaluation of instructors under procedures developed by the vice president. The dean confers with the department director in decisions regarding instructor workload, professional growth, retention, and department staffing levels.
