Dental Assistant - Nuvance Health

Health Quest and Western Connecticut Health Network have combined to form a new nonprofit health system. The name for the new health system will be Nuvance Health. The new health system was created to provide communities across New York’s Hudson Valley and western Connecticut with more convenient, accessible and affordable care.

Summary:
Performs a variety of technical functions. Assists the dentist with all procedures, and meets the dental needs of patients. Actively participates in department performance improvements.

 Responsibilities:

• Assists the dentist with instrument passing. Prepares restorative material impressions for dentures. Prepares models to ensure effective high quality treatment is rendered
• Takes and develops x-rays. Accurately mounts & labels radiographs with patient's name & date after development.
•  Charts dentists instructions at chair-side to assist with developing treatment plans. Explains treatment plan, need for oral hygienic and post-operative instructions to patients to ensure patient understanding of plan at point of service.
• Greets and seats patients. Verifies with patient that all information is correct & up to date.

Radiation Health and Safety Certificate

Location: Danbury-70 Main St

Work Type: Full-Time

Work Shift: Variable 8hr day shift from 8:00am-5:00pm

Salary Range:

$22 - $31 Hourly
