Job Details
Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Operations, the Demand Planner plays a critical role in forecasting demand and optimizing inventory levels across the company's portfolio of products. This position requires a keen analytical mind combined with a thorough understanding of market trends, sales performance, and production capabilities. By accurately predicting future demand, the Demand Planner ensures that the company can meet customer needs while maintaining efficient inventory levels. This role is central to the company's ability to achieve its financial targets and operational efficiencies, making strategic contributions to minimize waste and improve product availability.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute effective demand forecasts and inventory flow strategies.
2. Conduct detailed inventory analyses and provide recommendations to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
3. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets to optimize demand planning.
4. Collaborate with various teams (including sales, marketing, and finance) to ensure accurate forecasting of product demand.
5. Use advanced statistical techniques to create high-level predictive models for future demand.
6. Regularly review and revise forecasts, considering changes in demand and market trends.
7. Present forecast updates and analyses to management, providing insights and recommendations.
8. Participate in cross-functional projects to improve overall business performance.
9. Maintain and manage product history, forecasts, and promotional demand.
10. Develop and maintain detailed reports of inventory levels, supply chain progress, and forecasting accuracy.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or a similar role.
