Position Purpose
Working closely with Sales, Finance, Logistics and Operations, the Demand Planner will support the process of developing and communicating the forecast that drives the Master Schedules, Financial updates, and our Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
Principle Accountabilities
- Manage SKU-level forecasts within Logility, implementing best-fit statistical models supplemented with feedback from key stakeholders
- Stratify customer/product and create planning models
- Lead Demand Review meetings with Sales and Product Management.
- Integrate the Demand Review results into the Executive S&OP process
- Timely communication of information to all stakeholders using the appropriate communication method.
- Build a strong collaboration with functional teams such as supply planners, sales, marketing, operations, finance, and product management to obtain relevant data and insights on demand.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to influence the demand on the supply chain and prioritize demand for order fulfillment based on business objectives and customer segmentation.
- Drive improvement in the company's key metrics, including forecast accuracy, fill rate, inventory turns, SMOG and EBITDA.
- Ensure accuracy in the data and settings and troubleshoot system issues as needed.
- Support business, marketing, inventory or production strategies, and organizational / supply chain improvement opportunities to meet market needs and the company's growth initiatives.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional projects.
- Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with all stakeholders.
Essential Skills and Experience
- BS/BA in Supply Chain management, logistics, finance, engineering, mathematics, statistical analysis or related major required
- 1-3 years of planning experience in a multi-product / multi-locations environment, preferably consumer packaged goods, or relatable experience (ie: internship)
- APICS certification a plus
- Experience with Logility planning software or comparable application
- Advanced data analysis skills using Microsoft Excel, Tableau, or similar tools
- Action oriented with a strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize and adapt
- Achieve results in fast paced environment with changing priorities
- Willingness to "roll up sleeves" daily to be involved in getting the work done is a requirement
- Ability to build relationships and maintain rapport with manufacturing group as well as Managers and Executive Leadership
- Skills - good communicator, time management, operations analysis, project management, active listener, persuasive.
- Travel up to 10%.
