Delivery Technician - Verlo Mattress Factory of St Charles IL

Here at Verlo Mattress - St Charles we are looking for a punctual, detail oriented, and reliable person to join our growing team as a Delivery & Production Technician. Our Delivery & Production Technicians help our local community members get a great night's sleep by building, delivering and setting up their Verlo Mattress sleep systems. 

We will train the right candidate, no experience is necessary. All we require is a willingness to learn, a can-do attitude, and the ability to develop trusted relationships with our Customers!

Production responsibilities involve the assembly of Verlo mattresses, receiving and stocking all inventory.  Building a Verlo Mattress is a vital key to Verlo's overall guest satisfaction being that each mattress is built locally for each guest.

Mattress Delivery and Installation plays a vital role in our guest experience, serving as our guests' final point of contact.  Installation technicians are trusted to represent our company in the privacy of the guests' homes and can leave a lasting impression

Qualifications

• Ability to responsibly use work related equipment and materials
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to plan and organize; good time management skills
• Ability to reach with arms and hands, climb and balance(stairs and ladders),
• Crouch, crawl, walk, stand, sit, twist, kneel, pull, push, stoop, bend repeatedly, and lift and carry up to 50 lbs with heavier weight necessary at times
• Ability to solve problems
• Ability to work independently but also as team player
• Has current Drivers License

Production Responsibilities:

The production worker performs all tasks while following standard work methods and practices safe work habits as assigned by the General Manager/Production Supervisor in order to support production goals and corporate values of Verlo Mattress.

•  Reads work orders and and performs work as assigned
•  Cuts, clips, hooks, staples or otherwise assembles the materials to produce the finished product
•  Attaches appropriate labels and tags to products and packages
•  Packs finished goods into correct packages
•  Notifies supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
•  Maintains a clean and safe work area
•  Participates in cross training opportunities in order to maximize efficiency

Delivery Responsibilities:

• Morning truck inspection to prepare for the day
• Assisting with delivery and set up of mattress/components and removal of old products
• In home product demonstrations
• Maintain truck safety and efficient operation; refuel trucks
• Verify correct product loaded for delivery
• Assist other delivery and warehouse staff as needed
• Safely performing all operations at all times
• Respectful of guest privacy and delivery time window
• Handle all merchandise as if it was your own
• Respect the guest's home
• Take care of all equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Additional Information:

• Appropriate demeanor in both dress and hygiene
