This position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of field office support functions including, but not limited to, the following: loading, weighing, and ticketing trucks, preparing daily load summaries, managing inventory, accepting payment, basic typing and word processing, filing, answering calls, light bookkeeping, courier duties, customer relations, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate equipment (loader, scale, etc) safely and efficiently.
• Rock yard maintenance.
• Inventory sales and receiving.
• Keep time and material records.
• Knowledge of aggregate sizes and classifications.
• Knowledge of weight requirements and loading restrictions.
• Excellent customer service and sales skills.
• Strict adherence to company policy regarding inventory and payment collection.
• Travel to and from various work locations.
• Utilize various software systems.
• Other duties as assigned to ensure efficient business operation.

• Ability to work rotating day shifts including weekends and some holidays.
• Ability to comprehend and follow various instructions

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

Language Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence. Speak and articulate clear verbal communication through various media – email, two-way radio, face-to-face, etc.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Computer Skills

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of general computer operation; Inventory and Order processing systems; knowledge and experience utilizing Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Valid driver’s license required
• CDL Required
