If you reside in Flushing NY, Houston TX, Atlanta GA or Edison, NJ, you’ll enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid-remote* position as you take on some tough challenges. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Service (35%)

• Using system, answer and resolve issues such as eligibility, enrollment, billings, and benefits courteously and accurately

• Proactively educate BAs, Broker and members for enhanced understanding on protocols and procedures

• Consistently meet established productively, schedule adherence, and quality standards

• Demonstrate the ability to build and maintain productive working relationship with others and contribute as an effective team member

• Actively seek out improvement opportunities

• Renewals (30%)

• Proactively make outbound calls to BAs and Brokers of renewing groups for upcoming renewal reminder

• Explain renewal process and assist BAs with necessary renewal forms

• Act as consultant to assist BAs on plan design/benefits changes to meet groups’ needs

• Work with Enrollment Department to ensure renewal with changes is received on timely basis and new benefits are installed correctly in system

• Enhance relationship with BAs through renewal process to improve group retention

• Sales (35%)

• Develop and build broker relationship to increase Commercial (groups) sales.

• Provide training to new and existing brokers

• Recruit new brokers

• Meet with Brokers & prospect groups (do presentations), to increase & close sales

• Assists brokers and prospect groups to choose the most appropriate plans based on needs.

• Coordinate with Sales Adm. and Enrollment Dept. on new group enrollment process.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) OR 5+ years of health insurance sales experience

• State Health License OR the ability and willingness to obtain a State Health License within 3 months

• 3+ years of insurance sales or customer service experience

• Bilingual in English and Mandarin

• Willing and able to work onsite in Flushing NY, Houston TX, Atlanta GA, Edison NJ

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Health insurance sales experience

• Trilingual in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese

Soft Skills:

• Problem-solving approach to quickly assess current state and formulate recommendations

• Good communication and relationship building skills

New York Residents Only: The salary range for New York residents is $16.00 to $24.04 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
