Clay Cooley Auto Group is looking for an experienced, detailed, self-motivated, and reliable Cancellation Clerk for our dealerships. This individual will be responsible for processing all cancellations and refunds for customers and lienholders in an efficient and timely manner. It is essential to understand the significance of deadlines and the ability to apply the appropriate level of urgency to all tasks.

Role Responsibilities:

• Receives, reviews and processes customers' requests to discontinue financial products.
• Evaluates all necessary documents and accurately reconciles the refund amount due to customers based on policy terms and time periods.
• Responds to customer inquiries and communicates with the financial institutions regarding cancellation details.
• Maintains a clean accounting schedule and records cancellation transactions in dealership's accounting system, including appropriate general ledger records.
• Calculates and posts finance chargebacks and dealer refunds.

Employee Prerequisites:

• High School Diploma; College Degree a plus
• Dealership experience and extensive knowledge of automotive financial products.
• Excellent computer skill levels (Internet and MS Outlook).
• Competency to manage in a high-influx call/email environment and ability to transition from one task to another effectively and concisely.
• Ability to work well both individually and as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule with extended hours during accounting cutoff periods.
• Professional appearance and excellent work ethic.
