Title: DBA SQL Level II
Location: Marysville, OH (hybrid of onsite and remote work)
Duration: 10 Months
As a SQL Database Administrator, this person will be working closing with application teams for implementing project specific tasks, maintain existing databases and perform daily/weekly/monthly/ yearly tasks. This SQL Server DBA will maintain the operational stability and security our client's SQL Server database environment, in a cost effective manner. Primary duties will include the following:

As a SQL Database Administrator, this person will be working closing with application teams for implementing project specific tasks, maintain existing databases and perform daily/weekly/monthly/ yearly tasks. This SQL Server DBA will maintain the operational stability and security our client's SQL Server database environment, in a cost effective manner. Primary duties will include the following:
- Collaborating with data architects, developers, and stakeholders to design data models (CDM, LDM, PDM) and implement, database schemas, tables, indexes, and relationships.
- Creating and modifying Data Models using Data Modeling tools.
- Project Development Support
- Provide DBA support for database development projects, funded by the application teams/business
- Work closely with Data Architecture team in understanding project requirements leading to the design, build and implementation of SQL Server databases.
- Serve as a liaison between the SQL Server database team and application teams
- Ensure that all project deliverables by the DBA team are completed within schedule and budget
- Performing tuning, monitoring and patching of databases as needed
- Focus on Inter/Intra Organizational Communication
- Backup and Recovery
- Security and Compliance of the SQL Server database environment .
- Will be involved with Disaster Recovery Activities.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems (IS), Computer Science, software engineering, information technology and/or equivalent industry experience.
- 5-8 years of Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator experience
- 2-4 years of experience in working large scale projects.
- Extensive application support experience working with application teams.
- Experience working with data architects, developers, and stakeholders to design data models (CDM, LDM, PDM) and implement, database schemas, tables, indexes, and relationships.
- High-level understanding of IT infrastructure planning and development.
- Should have knowledge of cloud computing concepts, virtualization, and infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) platforms.
- Strong technical knowledge of SQL Server database administration, architecture/design, data analysis and management.
- Strong technical knowledge of current SQL Server database systems and versions, including other Windows based tools, utilities and active directory.
- 1-2 years of experience in SOX related requests.
- Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Good understanding of Project Management skills.
- Automotive industry IT knowledge is preferred.
