Day Shift Team Leader (Services)
Porter-Gaud School is an Episcopal, independent, coeducational day school with 1,650 students in preschool through 12th grade. The Facilities Department has an opening for the position of Day Shift Team Leader (Services), to start immediately.
This position reports directly to the Assistant Director of Facilities (Services) and works closely with other Facilities employees. The Day Shift Team Leader (Services) is responsible for assisting in the scheduling of custodial activities, completion of work order requests and event setups in support of the operation of the School. Other duties may include counseling and training day shift employees.
Flexibility is essential. This position will/may be required to work when the School is closed which may include holidays, weekends and extended hours in summer. Availability to attend events at any/all of the three Porter-Gaud/O'Quinn campuses, during both regular and off work hours is required.
Specific Duties include:
- Serves as the backup for the Assistant Director of Facilities (Services), as needed.
- Oversees assigned team members in completing scheduled work, work requests and event setups.
- Coordinates with other School personnel in determining best support for recurring events.
- Assists the Assistant Director of Facilities (Services) with annual performance evaluations for day shift personnel.
- Compliance with all applicable safety regulations.
- Compliance with all department rules, as specified in the Employee Handbook.
- Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Facilities (Services) and/or Director of Facilities.
Required skills:
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas, both orally and in writing.
- Experience with MS Office and/or Google applications.
- Experience in coaching, supervising and/or mentoring employees (preferred).
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- 4+ years experience in a K-12 educational setting.
- High School Diploma preferred, but not required.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
