Davenport Screw Machine Dept. Supervisor - Coyote Technical & Executive Sourcing

TITLE: Davenport Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervises production
• Makes process improvement suggestions
• Manages employees time on the job with production needs
• Inspects production equipment, proactively minimizing down time
• Inspects product for quality defects and work together with Quality Manager to lower rejects
• Complete required daily production paperwork
• Promote & monitor safety in the department including proper housekeeping
• Ensures all employees follow the Company processes and policies.
• Relieve employees as needed to maximize productivity
• Follows control plans and print requirements to produce parts to exacting customer specifications.
• Attend meetings when required by management.
• Promote and monitor his/her direct reports to comply with all company and department housekeeping and safety rules.
• Report any violations or safety concerns to management promptly.
• Able to train employees if needed.
• Work with Plant Manager and Operators to resolve any tooling or setup problems that occur during daily operations.
• Verify the setup is approved and the machine is ready for production prior to running production.

Requirements :

• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in Davenport Screw Machines
• Previous Supervisory experience / leadership skills
• Good mathematical skills
• Good mechanical skills
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong planning skills
• Training and coaching skills
• Ability to manage conflict resolution
