Daily Tasks will include but not limited to the following:
The Database Architect will participate in a team approach to:
Determines database structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications, and programming; reviews objectives with clients; evaluates current systems; provides database support by coding utilities, responding to user questions, and resolving problems.
Expert 84+ months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
Daily Tasks will include but not limited to the following:
The Database Architect will participate in a team approach to:
- Work with SMEs, Business Analysts and Technology teams to understand the data requirements and the full attribute set for entities and dimensions.
- Convert business processes, domain specific knowledge, and information needs into a conceptual model.
- Convert conceptual models into logical models with detailed descriptions of entities and dimensions.
- Develop and maintain fully defined conceptual, logical and physical dimensional data models to ensure the information models are capable of meeting end user and developer needs.
- Develop data models and data migration strategies utilizing sound concepts of data modeling including star schema, snowflake schema, etc.
- Model aggregation layers and specific star schemas as subject areas within a logical and physical model.
- Understand and meet referential data integrity requirements.
- Document decisions made in meetings and alternative solutions discussed.
- Schedule, facilitate, and record report development meetings as needed.

- 84 Months Experience with developing and maintaining logical and physical dimensional data models, building data migration strategies utilizing sound concepts of data modeling including star schema, snowflake schema, etc. in a data warehouse/business intelligence environment
- 84 Months Experience in a data modeling tool (e.g., Erwin). Experience with reviewing the data modeling of others for compliance and accepted standards of development.
- 84 Months Experience in relational data management disciplines and design and development experience using Oracle technologies.
- 84 Months Experience utilizing SQL programming for data analysis purposes in a data warehouse/business intelligence environment
- 72 Months Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., OBIEE 11G) involving data analytics.
- 72 Months Experience with designing, developing and creating applications in health care business intelligence reporting solutions.
- 48 Months Attended and participated in information and requirements gathering sessions, including translating business requirements into data requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in business intelligence information science, computer science, or mathematics.
