Position Summary
OPEX Corporation is currently looking for multiple Software Engineers (Junior level) with strong database experience for its Moorestown, NJ facility. The scrum team member will help create and advance software in the Robotic Warehouse Automation industry. These software products interact with a full range of software systems from low-level embedded through cloud-based performance monitoring, including real-time controls, operator consoles, inter-system interfaces, reporting, and machine management functions. Database interaction plays a central role in many of the software components and proficiency in this area is a core requirement for this role. This position on the Cortex database team will be responsible for designing new schemas and PL/PGSQL functions to ensure data consistency. We subscribe to the philosophy of "smart database, thin clients" which places a significant portion of the application logic in the database. The candidate will require strong software development skills as well.

Responsibilities
This role requires a team-oriented software developer who is a hands-on coder, but also able to provide a fresh perspective and new ideas to a growing team. This person will be expected to:

Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, related field, or relevant experience.
- Technical/Engineering experience in a Software Development organization (Jr level 1-6 yrs, Sr level 7+ yrs).
- Experience developing new products is strongly preferred.
- Experience developing, coding, and interfacing with relational databases.
- PostgreSQL and PL/PGSQL preferred. Familiarity with other database environments is welcome as well.
- Demonstrated leadership of software teams in an Agile environment is preferred.
- Experience in Material Handling, Warehouse Automation or Industrial segment is preferred.
- Experience working in an Agile or SAFe environment is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional listening, verbal, presentation, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel when necessary (typically less than 20%).
Physical/Work Environments
- Employee may be working in an office, lab, or production environment with occasional travel to customer sites.
- Some walking between OPEX facilities.
- Employee may occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
