Key Responsibilities:
- Refine and optimize data warehouse models to ensure robust and scalable architecture.
- Design, enhance, and maintain Python-based ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
- Collaborate with business teams to gather and analyze data reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain high-quality SQL queries, preferably using MS SQL Server or Google BigQuery.
- Utilize Python libraries such as Pandas and SQLAlchemy to support data transformations.
- Leverage ETL tools such as Airflow, NiFi, or dbt to automate data workflows.
- Ensure data integrity and quality through rigorous code and process validation.
- Contribute to the implementation of best practices for data modeling and ETL processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making.
- Stay updated on advancements in data warehousing, ETL methodologies, and related technologies.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
- Proficiency in data modeling and advanced SQL query development.
- Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server and Google BigQuery.
- Expertise in Python ETL development with familiarity in libraries like Pandas and SQLAlchemy.
- Experience with ETL tools such as Airflow, NiFi, or dbt.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical gaps.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
- Familiarity with data warehousing methodologies like Inmon, Kimball, or Data Vault.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git or Terraform.
- Proficiency in reporting tools like Tableau or R Shiny.
- Experience working with public health data.
- Strong interest in code quality and assurance practices.
