About the Job
- Data Warehouse QA will review and validate data warehouse objects, ensuring they meet quality standards and functional requirements
- Document and report QA findings, including data issues and discrepancies, in a clear and concise manner
- Utilize SQL Server to conduct tests and validate data integrity within the DWH environment
- Leverage knowledge of data warehouse facts and dimensions to inform testing strategies and validate data relationships
- Work closely with Seema and the data warehouse team to align QA efforts with project goals and timelines
- Actively participate in the upgrade process by examining DWH scripts and QAing new build objects to ensure they meet specifications
- As a Data Warehouse QA, you will analyze data outputs to identify inconsistencies, anomalies, and potential issues, providing actionable insights to improve data quality
- Effectively communicate data findings to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding of any issues or necessary actions
- Use Jira or other ticketing systems to log issues, track progress, and manage QA tasks
Requirements:
- Proven experience in QA for Data Warehouse environments, particularly with DWH objects, and a solid understanding of SQL Server
- Familiarity with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) to help in validating report outputs and assisting in reporting processes
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to write and execute queries for testing purposes
- Understanding of data warehouse architecture, including facts and dimensions
- Data savvy with strong analytical skills to interpret data and identify issues effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Familiarity with SSRS is a plus
- Experience with QA tracking systems or maintaining QA logs
- Previous involvement in DWH upgrade projects
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
