Experienced professional will provide administrative and analytical support for research operations and research related applications with the institution’s Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS): OnCore. The analyst will communicate and engage with OnCore users across the University to provide support, and assists with testing, training, documentation, and enhancements. The analyst will assist with collaborations between departments, groups, and study teams to increase efficiency and productivity, and to identify process improvements by providing analytical reporting based on data in the CTMS. Administratively, the role may create and maintain user support documentation, protocol and regulatory records, protocol calendars and financials within the CTMS.
The analyst will be tasked with generating reports using SQL, Jasper, and Tablaeu, as well as coding and overseeing the management and maintenance of OnCore CTMS.
Required:
- Knowledge of data management systems, practices and standards.
- Knowledge relating to logical data design, data warehouse design, data integration or the management of web content or other unstructured data.
- Ability to prepare simple data models under guidance of more senior professionals.
- Familiarity with important types of data models such as logical / relational models, dimensional models and document models.
- Intermediate knowledge of relevant rules and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to work with others from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and nontechnical personnel at various levels in the organization.
- Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated service orientation skills.
- Strong analytical and design skills, including the ability to abstract information requirements from real-world processes to understand information flows in computer systems.
- Ability to represent relevant information in abstract models. Critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in related area (i.e. data science, data analytics, information technology, computer science, informatics, etc.).
- 3 years of related experience
- Experience with clinical/research/clinical research data is preferred
Preferred:
- Strong organizational skills.
- Master’s degree in a related area (i.e. data science, data analytics, information technology, computer science, informatics, etc.).
- Coding certification (SQL, Tableau, etc.)
