Minimum qualifications:
- Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience with statistical data analysis, data mining, and querying (e.g., SQL).
Preferred qualifications:
- 1 year of experience in scripting or statistical analysis (e.g., R, Stata, SPSS, SAS).
- Experience in scripting or programming languages (Python, Java)
- 1 year of experience developing and managing metrics or evaluating programs/products.
- Deep interest and aptitude in data, metrics, analysis and trends and applied knowledge of measurement, statistics and program evaluation

The Age Assurance team's mission is to provide Google with reliable, privacy-preserving age signals, and support seamless, age-appropriate journeys across Google. In this role, the Age Assurance team plays a critical role identifying minors through predictive methods and design user experiences that allows users to proactively verify their age and thereby get access to more sensitive content.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000-$150,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Perform analysis utilizing relevant tools (e.g. SQL, R, Python). Apply standard/common tools, resources, and processes to defined problems and for moderately difficult projects, execute analytical tasks with guidance.
- Own the process of gathering, extracting, and compiling data across sources via relevant tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python). Format, re-structure, and validate data to ensure quality.
- Select appropriate approaches from clear options to address technical challenges.
- Develop working relationships outside of the team to contribute to cross-project collaborations and better understand data or products. Leverage a foundational understanding of broader business priorities and analytical techniques.
- Help design and analyze experiments and consult with eng teams on the analysis of A/B tests (especially when methodological complications arise or the interpretation is not straightforward)
