Data Scientist I (Clinical) at The Fountain Group

The Fountain Group are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Data Scientist for a prominent Pharmaceutical client of ours. This position is in Waltham, MA (Hybrid Role). Details for the position are as follows:
 
Job Description:

• Pay: 50.00-57.00/hr on W2.
• 12-month assignment to start with potential for extension or conversion.
• Hybrid role – 3 days a week onsite.
• Need MS Degree with any amount of industry experience or Ph.D. Degree with academic experience only is okay. BS degree only will not work for this role.
• Must have coding experience SQL, Python, C+, etc.
• Nice To Have Experience: Bioinformatics experience, industry setting (biotech), Benchling Experience (or Gene Data or comparable), Bench Experience in Molecular Biology.
• Towards Integrated workflows & Data collection
• Work hands-on with R&B Scientists & technicians in specific sites to upgrade current data operations and practices to build impactful ways of working.
• Work hands-on with R&B users to build automated data workflows where not available (new technologies) and trouble shoot workflows that are flawed or inefficient.
• In association with data continuum and digital team ensure proper functioning of data collection process, integration, software, and Internet applications.
• Design, develop, and modify data infrastructure and templates to help scientist accelerate the processes of data analysis and reporting.
• Resolve data ingestion issues for Benchling including legacy and current data. Deploy simplification and or data automation tools.
• Working knowledge of nucleic acids DNA/RNA analytical performance assessment tools: PCR, Cloning/plasmid generation and design, Quality control on DNA/RNA (capillary electrophoresis, UV quantification, Sanger sequencing, NGS…) is nice to have but not required.
