JOB SUMMARY:
Join our dynamic Data & Analytics team as a Data Scientist, where you will play a crucial role in shaping our marketing and advertising strategies using data-driven insights. Your responsibilities will include collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to our media campaigns across various channels. Through actionable recommendations, you will contribute to optimizing our marketing efforts and achieving our business objectives. Location:
Candidates must be located in Illinois, Texas, Colorado, or Michigan. For individuals based in our Michigan and Illinois locations, this will be a hybrid role, requiring both in-office and remote work. For candidates in Texas and Colorado, this position will be fully remote.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Machine Learning & Development
- Write production-level Python code for machine learning applications, ensuring robust error handling and optimized performance.
- Develop intuitive front-end interfaces for users to interact with machine learning models and data products.
- Quickly build and deploy production-ready machine learning algorithms tailored to business needs.
Data Engineering & Pipelines
- Design, develop, and deploy efficient ETL processes and data pipelines for Linux servers, ensuring adherence to deployment schedules.
- Utilize Snowflake for staging, movement, and scheduling of large, complex datasets with a focus on quality assurance and data integrity.
Business Collaboration & Strategy
- Collaborate with SVPs, VPs, and stakeholders to align on project goals, provide actionable insights, and deliver innovative data products.
- Distill complex machine learning algorithms and technical concepts into accessible reports and presentations for non-technical audiences.
- Translate stakeholder business needs into functional data science solutions, user interfaces, and reporting dashboards.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Design and build interactive reporting dashboards for stakeholders to visualize key insights and monitor model performance.
- Work with marketing data, leveraging expertise in segmentation, campaign optimization, and handling various data formats and complexities.
Cloud Infrastructure & Code Management
- Build and maintain cloud-based infrastructure to support data products and machine learning applications.
- Quickly assess and understand existing codebases, optimizing and expanding functionality as needed.
Innovation & Proactivity
- Identify potential use cases for data products and independently develop solutions to address them.
- Design end-to-end applications, taking projects from concept to deployment with minimal supervision.
Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Python, with experience writing scalable, production-level code.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, with expertise in writing and optimizing complex queries.
- Experience in ETL orchestration, scheduling, and deployment on Linux servers.
- Strong understanding of Snowflake and cloud-based data management platforms.
Machine Learning Expertise:
- Hands-on experience building and deploying machine learning models.
- Knowledge of marketing data and its various applications, including segmentation and campaign analysis.
Soft Skills:
- Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record of collaborating with senior leadership to align on project objectives and strategies.
- Self-motivated, innovative thinker capable of independently identifying and executing solutions to business challenges.
Other Requirements:
- Experience building user interfaces and reporting dashboards.
- Familiarity with handling large, complex datasets in dynamic business environments.
- Strong project management and planning skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Familiarity with marketing data strategies and data-driven decision-making.
- Knowledge of software development best practices and repository management.
The hiring range for this discipline within our industry is $70,000 to $100,000. Where an employee is paid within this range will depend on multiple factors including, but not limited to location, years of experience, education, internal pay structure, and other contributing factors.
