This Data Scientist models complex scientific clinical data, discovering business/clinical/health insights and identifying opportunities through the use of statistical, algorithmic, mining and visualization techniques. In addition to advanced analytics skills, this role is also proficient at integrating and preparing large, varied datasets, architecting specialize database and computing environment, and communicating results. Collaborate with colleagues from science, engineering and business backgrounds. Present proposals and results in a clear manner backed by data and coupled with actionable conclusions.

- Design and iterate on data models to solve problems in capacity management and resource utilization, including Machine Learning and iterative validation tools as necessary.
- Extract knowledge from the data gathered by various in house applications and synthesize it to discover previously hidden insights to address pressing business problems.
- Help evaluate data models to assess performance and integration to other environments.
- Participate in analytic projects to identify insights and metrics, and help in validation of the innovation.
- Interact with clinical champions to identify ways to use different internal data source in order to improve efficiency and patient outcomes.
- Work cross-functionally with operational leaders, other data scientists and analysts to ensure model delivery and utilization.
- PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning or Data Science and 5 years relevant experience.
- Experience working with AI products and tools like SQL
- Understands Machine Learning/Python
- Familiarity with ETL/batch experience
- Experience working with EMR databases is a plus, EPIC in particular
- Soft skills in working with others as well as the ability to translate work to layman audience, including the ability to perform data visualization for these audiences
