The vision for this role is to leverage expertise in enterprise data, business intelligence, and industry practices to build strategic data products which directly support and enable business outcomes across North America (NA) Claims. This role will drive execution excellence across multiple teams focused on data platform and business intelligence advancements, working collaboratively across business domains and leadership as part of Chubb’s digital transformation. As part of Chubb’s Global Data Office, this role will support the expansion of enterprise-wide data platforms, technology, and capabilities for Claims, further advancing Chubb’s data-driven culture and business enablement.
What You Will Do
- Assess the NA Claims data product landscape and foundational capabilities and develop a short/long term roadmap which focuses on the work with the highest business value/impact.
- Develop quarterly objectives, key results, and action plans to deliver quick, incremental value from each NA Claims data and business intelligence team.
- Partner with business stakeholders and NA Claims leadership in the evaluation of business process and performance measurement, and implementation of data-driven solutions and reporting assets.
- Engage with both data and business domain product owners to build self-service metrics and dashboards that enable Chubb leaders to reliably measure KPIs for strategic priorities, and that can be scaled across lines / segments.
- Influence an agile way of working with team members of data engineering, delivery, and business intelligence backgrounds to establish data sources that serve business needs, ensure consistency and accuracy in measurement, and are supported by a scalable data infrastructure.
- Establish shared goals and scope clarity with cross-functional stakeholders and serve as a trusted partner in developing business-focused solutions and prioritization decisions.
- Represent business priorities and perspectives in working with and leading technical teams who are developing the solutions. Act as a unifying presence across all NA Claims data and analytics teams to ensure broad alignment and connectivity.
- Drive continuous improvement as well as large transformational change within the NA Claims data and analytics environment, leveraging technical and business expertise to make high impact decisions which further the goals and objectives of the division.
- Collaborate with analytics and engineering organizations to scale and industrialize advanced NA Claims intelligence functions, governing and prioritizing workloads which have the largest impact.
- Harness and draw insights from large data sets, identify patterns, and interpret trends across multiple journey-based domains.
What You Bring
Foundational Skills:
- Analytical mindset with experience in the analysis, design, and implementation of data-powered business solutions.
- Experience managing work and making decisions across the data lifecycle from source system to end-user product which supports business analysis.
- Ability to build trusting and collaborative relationships with multidisciplinary analytics practitioners (e.g., data analysts, data visualization developers, data engineers, data scientists and third-party data providers) and other stakeholders to define scope and deliverables.
- Experience engaging in conceptual technical discussions with data engineering partners, as well as sharing technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to understand and align business intelligence and analytics strategy with IT infrastructure, business objectives to drive pragmatic implementation in the context of business scope of activities.
- Capable of measuring end-to-end business processes that will identify business value drivers and KPIs that measure operational effectiveness and performance outcomes.
- Experience solving problems using data to deliver business insights and drive operational improvements.
- Intellectual curiosity: passionate about data and the strategic insights that are derived from it; eager to dive deep into data to identify patterns and opportunities for improvement.
- Ability to work with leaders across the organization on strategies for executing, measuring progress, and sharing results.
- Synthesize and communicate data-backed results to stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of agile software development lifecycle specific to the insurance technology industry.
- 5 - 7 years in data analytics and/or business intelligence product management
- Strong preference for experience in P&C Insurance industry with track record of delivering quantifiable business impact.
- Demonstrated ability to mobilize and lead high performing teams.
- Proficient in using data and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel, QlikSense, MS PowerBI) to understand core business metrics, diagnose performance, and inform actionable changes.
- Aptitude in understanding and utilizing using a variety of source systems and types (databases, files, APIs, SaaS, etc.)
- Bachelor's/Master’s degree in disciplines such as Information Systems, Statistics, Data Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
The pay range for the role is $119,100 to $202,400. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found
