PROGRAM OVERVIEW:The Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) provides services that directly touch the lives of slightly more than 1 in 4 residents in the Commonwealth. Some of our most vulnerable citizens, including children, youth, adults, and the elderly are served by The Executive Office of Health and Human Services. EOHHS is the largest secretariat in state government and is comprised of 12 agencies, in addition to 2 soldiers’ homes and the MassHealth program. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ Executive Office of Health and Human Services is currently seeking an exceptional individual to join the EHS IT team. The IT Project Coordinator to support the ACIO for the Department of Public Health (DPH) along with the IT Program Leads within DPH. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled team and contribute to critical and highly visible projects and processes for DPH within the Executive Office of Health and Human Services.
POSITION OVERVIEW: Title: Data Platform Administrator
As a member of the Executive Office of Health and Human Services Data Management & Engineering, the DataPlatform Administrator will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and support of IT platform applications and tools for MassHealth users. They will also be responsible for standardization, maintenance, configuration, and support documentation. They will partner with team members to receive and provide cross-training for shared applications and services. They will be responsible for maintaining consistent service with little or no application downtime. The ideal candidate must demonstrate confidence, creativity, and keen problem-solving abilities.
DETAILED LIST OF JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer, configure & support Database Platforms Snowflake and Oracle.
- Administer, configure & support Data Platform applications Informatica Cloud (IICS), Tableau, Cognos, SAS, GitHub and MOVEit MFT.
- Design, implement & support cloud applications and AWS services.
- Install and configure software on AWS cloud and Linux platforms.
- Administer and manage internal and external requests for data applications access and permissions, while supporting data security and protection.
- Support business users, agency partners, data analysts and developers to implement Data solutions.
- Provide excellent customer service (email, telephone, and written correspondence) to all internal and external customers.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Years’ Experience, Certificates):
- BS in Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years in Cloud Data Warehouse applications Snowflake, IICS, AWS and GitHub.
- 5+ years of experience in Database administration and Data Warehouse applications on AWS.
- Minimum two years of experience with installing and configuring applications using Cloud Technologies (AWS, MS Azure etc.)
- Knowledge of cloud network policies and the firewall rules
- Familiarity with Informatica and/or other ETL tools
- Experienced in Oracle SQL skills and PL/SQL skills
- Experience in Linux shell scripting, user security and server administration.
- Experience in data security protocol using encryption and decryption methodologies.
- Medicaid or other healthcare or claims processing experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
