Data Integrity Coordinator
Job Summary
The Data Integrity Coordinator is responsible for managing and monitoring data integrity requests and projects submissions workflow to ensure requests are completed in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The position will perform a variety of data management tasks to enhance and maintain Advancement data and processes in support of University fundraising and relationship building goals under minimal supervision.
Advancement data maintained includes the contact, biographical, demographic, and prospect management related data on alumni, parents, friends of the University, corporations, foundations, and other constituent types.
This position will work closely with the Associate Director of Alumni and Donor Records to plan and execute special projects and database clean-up tasks. In collaboration with the Sr. Data Integrity Specialist, this position will maintain and ensure VIP lists are kept up to date. The Data Integrity Coordinator will act as a catalyst between the Data Integrity Team, the Advancement Office and campus partners to keep a working relationship to assist in improving engagement scores through Data Integrity project submissions.
Considerations:
This position is optionally remote. Applicants should reside in the state of Utah, specifically in or near the Salt Lake City Metropolitan area. Occasional mandatory in-person trainings or meetings on the University of Utah campus are a requirement of this position. The candidate who is hired for this position may choose to work in the office either part-time or full-time. If they do, a desk space will be provided for them.
Responsibilities
1. Shares the maintenance of VIP lists and special on-going projects with the Sr. Data Integrity Specialist.2. Oversee the assignment of Data Integrity project tasks to the Gift and Record Services team. Managing a broad scope of the team's data entry efforts and ensure data integrity in these projects. This includes the responsibility of directing the Salesforce ascend Data Integrity case workflow by distributing, monitoring and prioritizing assignments and assisting in the creation and execution of standard and one-off projects.3. Oversees the process of data load interims for grads, parents, employees, duplicate records, Initium-related, etc.4. Assists in maintenance of all constituent and organization records including adding new records, updating records, file clean-up, duplicate record management, and monitoring general data integrity to ensure all biographical information is appropriately obtained and kept up to date in accordance with best practices and institutional processes.5. Assists in the data integrity efforts of Prospect Management including those pertaining to fundraiser interactions with donor prospects and fundraising plans.6. Serve as backup for other Data Integrity team members to ensure tasks and projects are covered day to day.7. Other tasks as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Four years of progressively more responsible management experience. Background knowledge of hiring department's area of specialization in order to analyze, plan and draw conclusions for recommendations to superiors. Demonstrated leadership skills in planning and directing employees and processes in order to effectively monitor and develop subordinates and to ensure the smooth operation of department. Completion of provided supervisory training within one year of employment may be required.
Master's degree in a related area may be preferred.

Highly Preferred Qualifications:
- Intermediate to an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Problem Solving: Incumbents must be able to find solutions independently and as a member of our team. Ability to overcome challenges and speed bumps to ensure project deadlines are met, while managing a high volume of data points from a variety of sources and understand connections within the University Advancement's database. This position does not directly supervise others, however, oversees other team members in terms of ensuring appropriate project management workflow and upholding data entry accuracy.
- Background knowledge of managing multiple projects at once, excellent proof-reading skills and experience with data entry required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High computer and/or database literacy.
- Background in the fundraising or non-profit industry.
- Familiar with researching biographical and demographic information.
- Comfortable and thrives in a fast-paced environment, with regularly changing priorities.
- Working knowledge with LexisNexis is a plus.
