UDW Office Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00AM to 6:00PM
Salary Range: $20.63 to $25.63/hr. (depending on experience)
Job Summary:
Data Entry Clerks are responsible for accurately inputting and managing information in electronic storage systems and databases. Their duties include transferring data from paper to digital formats, entering information, verifying accuracy, and organizing files. These professionals utilize fast typing skills, proficiency in data entry software and MS Office applications, strong organizational abilities, and adherence to data confidentiality principles to meet daily objectives and goals. By maintaining organized digital records and ensuring company databases remain current and accurate, Data Entry Clerks are vital in supporting an organization's information management processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Input alphanumeric data into computer systems or databases with high accuracy and speed
• Verify and validate data for completeness and correctness
• Maintain data confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations
• Perform basic data cleaning and formatting tasks
• Handle routine paperwork and filing related data entry
• Communicate with team members about discrepancies or unclear information
• Meet daily, weekly, or monthly data entry quotas assigned
• Utilize advanced features of data entry software and databases
• Troubleshoot basic software and hardware issues related to data entry
• Implement and maintain data entry procedures and best practices
• Collaborate with other departments to improve data collection and entry processes
• Handle sensitive or confidential data with strict adherence to security protocols
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Computer systems and software: Proficiency in data entry software, Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel), and Google Suite.
• Familiarity with scanners, printers, and other relevant devices.
• Ability to input, verify, and organize data efficiently.
• Keen eye for spotting errors and maintaining data integrity.
• Capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to address data inconsistencies and processing issues.
• Maintain focus for extended periods on repetitive tasks.
• Quick learning of new software systems and procedures.
• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
• Spot and correct errors efficiently.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Work effectively with team members and other departments.
• Data cleaning and validation: Identify and fix errors in datasets.
• Ability to find and collect relevant data from various sources.
• Willingness to continuously update skills and knowledge
Preferred Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of experience working in data entry.
• Software proficiency: Excellent knowledge of data entry software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel) and Google Suite is also important.
• Exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for spotting errors with accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements:
• Successfully passing a typing skill assessment, Scoring 60-80 words per minute (WPM). Accuracy rates of 95% or higher.
• Work arrangement is 100% in-person, in office
• Some travel is required with a reliable vehicle.
• Valid driver's license.
