We are in search of a dynamic and experienced Data Engineering Manager to join our Engineering team. This is a permanent position where you will be responsible for leading a team of data architects, managing complex data systems, and implementing enterprise data warehouse and BI solutions. This role is perfect for someone who loves to solve complex problems, has a passion for data, and enjoys leading and mentoring a team.
Responsibilities:
As a Data Engineering Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Leading and managing a team of data architects and engineers.
2. Overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of complex data systems.
3. Implementing and managing enterprise data warehouse and BI solutions.
4. Collaborating with data scientists and using Python or Scala to support data science initiatives.
5. Ensuring data quality and implementing data governance strategies.
6. Working closely with other teams to understand and fulfill their data requirements.
7. Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our data systems remain innovative and efficient.
8. Participating in strategic planning and decision-making at the managerial level.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Data Engineering Manager position should possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a management role, preferably in data engineering.
3. A minimum of 7 years of experience as a lead engineer.
4. Proven experience managing data architects and maintaining complex data systems.
5. Strong experience with enterprise data warehouse and BI solutions.
6. Proficiency in Python or Scala to support data science initiatives.
7. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
11. A passion for data and a drive to stay updated with the latest data technologies and trends.
