Job Summary
Banc of California has an opening for a full-time Data Engineering Lead in Durham, NC. This position will be responsible for a full range of activities, which ensure the safe and efficient deployments into the production environment. Will work cross functionally with various individuals within the IT team and business process owners to identify and implement updates/changes to improve the process and data availability.
Responsibilities:- Provide application production support and maintenance of legacy systems in SQL and Oracle DB.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders to include IT team, business to research, compile, document data flow processes including creating and updating documentations needed.
- Assembling large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements.
- Identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes.
- Mentoring and leading the team on data engineering design approach, debugging issues and best practices.
- Building required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using Azure data factory, Azure pipeline, data flow, ETL tools and SQL technologies.
- Work closely with business and data transformation team on new requirements and change requests.
- Manage development to production deployment cycles and also support developing test cases, review scrips and code developed by the team.
- Troubleshooting issues with software applications with vendors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Will supervise Software Developers.
- A Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or foreign equivalent and 5 years of experience in Data Engineering, or in a related position building data pipelines in Azure or AWS or GCP.
- 5 years of experience in Informatica tools (MDM, DQ, IICS).
- 5 years of experience in both Windows and LINUX environment.
- 5 years of experience in process design and documentation analytical experience.
- 5 years of experience building data pipelines in cloud environment.
- 5 years of experience with ETL data products.
- 5 years of experience leading and mentoring the team on design and best practices.
- 5 years of experience in SQL/PL-SQL including performance tuning and query optimization.
SALARY RANGE: $116,688 - $160,000 USD;
