Data Engineer at AKKODIS

Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Mclean, VA(Hybrid). You will be responsible for building and optimizing data pipelines using Python, AWS (Glu, Lambdas), and Pyspark.

 

Rate Range: $67/hour to $77/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

 

Data Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Build and optimize robust, scalable data pipelines to efficiently process and transfer large datasets using tools such as Python, Pyspark, and AWS (Glu, Lambdas).

• Integrate data from various sources into central data repositories or data lakes to ensure accessibility and reliability.

• Develop and implement automated testing procedures for data quality and reliability, ensuring the integrity of data systems and minimizing errors.

• Design and implement data models and transformations to facilitate downstream analytics and ensure high-quality, consistent data.

• Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.

• Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines, ensuring scalability and low-latency data processing.

• Create and maintain thorough documentation for data processes, pipelines, and testing procedures to ensure transparency and ease of use across teams.

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• At least 3-5 years of experience in data engineering, with hands-on experience in Python, AWS (Glu, Lambdas), Pyspark, and automated testing.

• Proficiency in building and optimizing data pipelines, data integration, and automated testing in a data context.

• Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS, and familiarity with Behave framework for automated testing is a plus.

Pay Details: $67.00 to $77.00 per hour
