About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that support analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence initiatives. You will play a key role in ensuring data accessibility, reliability, and security across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and optimize robust ETL/ELT pipelines to collect, process, and store large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Data Architecture: Implement scalable and reliable data storage solutions using modern database and cloud technologies.
- Data Integration: Collaborate with various teams to integrate data from multiple sources and ensure consistency, quality, and accessibility.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and enhance the performance of data systems, ensuring low latency and high availability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to meet data requirements and provide insights.
- Documentation & Standards: Maintain comprehensive documentation and adhere to best practices in data engineering, including security and compliance standards.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience as a data engineer or in a related role.
- Proven experience with SQL, Python, or other scripting languages.
- Expertise in designing ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Knowledge of data warehousing solutions like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
- Strong understanding of APIs and data integration tools.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of data modeling and schema design.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Exposure to machine learning workflows and tools.
