Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Data Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and infrastructure. Duties and Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Development:
  

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to collect, process, and store large datasets from various sources.

• Automate data workflows to ensure timely and accurate data delivery to downstream systems.

• Data Infrastructure Management:
  

• Build and optimize cloud-based data infrastructure to support diverse data requirements.

• Collaborate with App Development teams to ensure data systems are secure, reliable, and performant.

• Data Integration and Transformation:
  

• Develop and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to prepare data for analysis and reporting.

• Work with structured and unstructured data, ensuring accuracy and consistency across datasets.

• Collaboration and Engagement:
  

• Partner with app developers, project managers, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions.

• Participate in planning meetings, standups, and sprint reviews to ensure alignment with project goals.

• Data Quality and Governance:
  

• Implement best data validation, integrity, and compliance practices, particularly in regulated sectors like healthcare.

• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to resolve issues promptly and ensure data availability.

• Continuous Improvement:
  

• Stay updated on emerging trends, tools, and technologies in data engineering.

• Proactively identify opportunities to improve data processes and infrastructure efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a related role.
  

• Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python or Java.
  

• Hands-on experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend, or similar).
  

• Expertise in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, focusing on data services.
  

• Experience with data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, including expertise in tools like Fivetran, DBT, Tableau, and Microsoft SQL Server technologies (T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS).
  

• Knowledge of ETL tools and techniques for structured and unstructured data.
  

• Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to design efficient solutions for complex data challenges.
  

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  

• Experience in the healthcare industry or similar regulated environments is a plus.
