The Data Engineer will optimize data systems and create solutions that facilitate efficient data management and analysis. Duties and Responsibilities

Data Pipeline Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to collect, process, and store large datasets from various sources.
- Automate data workflows to ensure timely and accurate data delivery to downstream systems.

Data Infrastructure Management:
- Build and optimize cloud-based data infrastructure to support diverse data requirements.
- Collaborate with App Development teams to ensure data systems are secure, reliable, and performant.

Data Integration and Transformation:
- Develop and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to prepare data for analysis and reporting.
- Work with structured and unstructured data, ensuring accuracy and consistency across datasets.

Collaboration and Engagement:
- Partner with app developers, project managers, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
- Participate in planning meetings, standups, and sprint reviews to ensure alignment with project goals.

Data Quality and Governance:
- Implement best data validation, integrity, and compliance practices, particularly in regulated sectors like healthcare.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to resolve issues promptly and ensure data availability.

Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on emerging trends, tools, and technologies in data engineering.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve data processes and infrastructure efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a related role.
- Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python or Java.
- Hands-on experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend, or similar).
- Expertise in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, focusing on data services.
- Experience with data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, including expertise in tools like Fivetran, DBT, Tableau, and Microsoft SQL Server technologies (T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS).
- Knowledge of ETL tools and techniques for structured and unstructured data.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to design efficient solutions for complex data challenges.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience in the healthcare industry or similar regulated environments is a plus.
