Responsibilities:
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for:
1. Designing, constructing, installing, testing, and maintaining highly scalable data management systems.
2. Ensuring systems meet business requirements and industry practices.
3. Building high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models, and proof of concepts.
4. Researching opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for existing data.
5. Developing data set processes for data modeling, mining, and production.
6. Implementing ETL processes and data architecture to connect datasets across multiple platforms.
7. Collaborating with data architects, modelers, and IT team members to ensure seamless integration of high-quality data.
8. Advising on the selection, implementation, and optimization of data-related tools and frameworks.
9. Resolving complex data-related issues involving quality, scalability, and consistency.
10. Ensuring the security and confidentiality of all data.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, Mongo DB, Postgres SQL, SSIS, SSRS, Tableau, AWS, and Azure.
3. Strong knowledge of data modeling and understanding of different data structures.
4. Experience with big data tools and frameworks.
5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Strong problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
