The Data Center Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring optimal performance of data center and facility environments, systems, and personnel, as well as the daily over-site and guidance for administrative and maintenance functions. This role requires you to be in the Data Center Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.

The Data Center Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring optimal performance of data center and facility environments, systems, and personnel, as well as the daily over-site and guidance for administrative and maintenance functions. This role requires you to be in the Data Center Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Build and lead a geographically dispersed team responsible for the installation, maintenance, and operation of server hardware across multiple data center regions
- Mentor and develop team leads and individual contributors, and evolve staffing models to meet the requirements of a global organization
- Develop and maintain a scalable operations model with a documented roadmap, goals, and objectives
- Track and maintain our current Data Centers’ space and power utilization
- Mentor and coach the DC Operations team to improve their knowledge base
- Track or establish training guidelines for the DC Operations team
- Help create and drive the vision and strategy to take data center operations to the next level of industry leadership
- Work with 3rd party organizations to evaluate, implement and manage outsourced services
- Partner with engineering, procurement, and program management teams to deliver infrastructure with industry-leading performance, quality, and reliability
- Work with leased data center providers to ensure spaces and services are suited to purpose
- Work with peers in the organization to develop solutions for cross-functional issues and support requirements associated with data center operations, project management, and logistics operations
- Architect and implement innovative and robust processes and standards in support of technology, tooling, and other data center support areas, as required
- Develop and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for data center operations
- Scope and execute data center retrofit/upgrade projects
- 5 years of experience leading data center or technical operations teams
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience
- Strong initiative to achieve results
- Customer Oriented
- Strong communication skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Experience in personnel management, staffing, and scheduling for an environment as well as the development of the team
- Experience leading projects
- Knowledge of data center power and cooling infrastructure
- Knowledge of network and cabling infrastructure
