The Data Center Technical Operations Engineer, Facility will be responsible for Data Center Engineering Operations within a Data Center including risk management and mitigation, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management, and metric reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Will be working on a team that supports the Data Center Operations, and mechanical and electrical infrastructure of the data center facility. This is a 24/7 support team, maintenance, troubleshooting, monitoring building, and building management.
- Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of critical facility operations and maintenance.
- Operate and manage both routine and emergency services on a variety of critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.
- May assist in projects to increase current facility efficiency.
- Bachelor's Degree or Technical (Military/ Trade School) Degree and relevant experience.
- 2+ years of Mechanical and/or Electrical Operations experience
- 1-2 years of Data Center Engineering Experience
- Familiar with and utilize Building Management Systems
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Troubleshooting electrical distribution, operational rounds, monitoring equipment manager vendor check-in, and safety compliance.
- Experienced with Ticket queues
- Preferred experience working in critical environments
- Strong attention to detail.
- Microsoft Office experience.
- Ability to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment.
