This role is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to work on cutting-edge technologies in the technology industry. The successful candidate must have a deep understanding of data center operations and associated technologies, including Routing, Switches, Wireless, Firewall, SAN, Storage, Office 365, VM Ware, and Hyper V. The position requires 5+ years of experience in a similar role.

Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Data Center Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. This role is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to work on cutting-edge technologies in the technology industry. The successful candidate must have a deep understanding of data center operations and associated technologies, including Routing, Switches, Wireless, Firewall, SAN, Storage, Office 365, VM Ware, and Hyper V. The position requires 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage complex data center solutions to meet the company's needs and objectives.
- Provide high-level technical support in the identification, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues in the data center environment.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data center operations, including system configurations, topologies, hardware/software inventories, etc.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless and efficient data center operations.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data center technologies and make recommendations for improvements.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure system performance and identify potential issues.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing, and ensure high availability and redundancy of data center services.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee the installation and maintenance of hardware and software solutions.
- Provide training and guidance to junior team members and other stakeholders on data center operations and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in data center operations, preferably in a consulting role.
- Strong knowledge of data center technologies including Routing, Switches, Wireless, Firewall, SAN, Storage, Office 365, VM Ware, and Hyper V.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Vendor certification such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, or VCP is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently when required.
- Willingness to stay updated with the latest advancements in data center technologies and continue professional development.
