Data Architect with Databricks - ApTask

About Client:
The client provides information technology (IT) services, including business outsourcing, infrastructure technology, and application services. The application service offered by the company includes application development, maintenance, and support. The markets served by the company are financial services and insurance, healthcare, manufacturing, government, transportation, communications, and consumer and retail industries.



Rate Range: $75-$85/hr on C2C or $70-75/hr on W2



Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, high-performance data architectures using Databricks and Delta Live Tables.
• Develop and oversee the deployment of real-time data pipelines, ensuring efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver optimal solutions.
• Establish and enforce best practices for data governance, security, and compliance within the Databricks environment.
• Optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Lead the integration of diverse data sources and ensure data consistency, accuracy, and availability.
• Provide architectural guidance and mentorship to data engineering teams, promoting best practices and standards.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in the data architecture space, driving innovation and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3 years of experience in data architecture, with a strong focus on Databricks and Delta Live Tables.
• Proven experience designing and implementing complex data solutions, including real-time and batch processing systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Apache Spark.
• Deep understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
